Bottom line upwards forepart: Do not pre-club anything that has a chance to sell out everywhere. I placed an social club for a record in Dec that was set to release in February. When the release date arrived, I got an email saying the appointment had been pushed past ii weeks. No big bargain. But this continues to occur each time the new date arrives. Client Service just tells me over and over it will ship on this new engagement but has no bodily insight on if the item ever was or ever will be stocked. At this point, information technology has sold out everywhere. Taking pre-orders on items that yous have no real certainty will ever be stocked, and besides non giving your customer service access to this information is a inexplainable business organisation practice.

Mind blowing feel.. Bought a NOOK which is Barnes & Noble product, similar every bit Kindle. When I bought it I never ever in my life would thought that in 2022 there are still problems to buy e-books worldwide.. So tried to set up my credit card, no pick to cull my country (Lithuania). Correct, fabricated a transfer to PayPal, shouldn't be whatsoever issues with that, right? Wrong! Patently, you cannot buy these products for taxes, VAT and other ** reasons, which does non make whatsoever sense.. So now my NOOK will be perfect coaster for coffee while I'm going to enjoy my audio volume from Aural. Which as a affair a fact doesn't have any problems to sell products worldwide, and already bought what I was looking for. :)

I am a newly published writer, Nefertiti Wolf. I have printed books from Lulu.com and Amazon with no problem. However, Barnes & Noble has been completely unprofessional, lazy and unreliable to its sellers. My publisher placed an order the BEGINNING of December for my books. When I received the books, there was different size font throughout the volume and a picture missing from inside the book; there was a bare folio where an illustration should be. We have emailed (since y'all can't call) them numerous of times to send me the correct books but however no update or return box for the original books they ruined. It is now February and I do not accept my books which I am at present losing money for. This company is a disgrace to authors.

Later on several days of worry, B&Due north Executive customer service intervened and took care of the issue -soley becuase of this review- still believe this should take been able to exist resolved immediately. Nothing more frustrating than the "canned" answer repeated.

Though I admit I made a mistake when I didn't check the concluding order address, merely every bit presently equally I hit "Submit" I realized it and tried to change/cancel or Modify the social club (to either ship to my default address or cancel the guild). IMMEDIATELY! I could take no activeness to practise either and was told nix they could practice but expect for the gild (going to a jail) to exist rejected and come back. If that happens fifty-fifty. Though the website says "a short time to alter or make changes" in that location was NO time to do it. Very upset long fourth dimension member out $430 and likely going to Amazon in the time to come.

I recently returned a book that I purchased simply to notice out that they would take the volume back, go along my coin, and give me a gift carte. Apparently if you make a PayPal purchase, you lot cannot get your funds returned. One book is not a lot to me, only I experience this is a pretty disgusting policy and it will end the relationship that I have had with this business concern. I'm pretty disappointed that they chose this, even after I tried to reach out to their customer service to meet if they could process the return differently. Reaching out to them only got me a copy of the fine print regarding their render policy. I will be finding locally owned book stores from at present on.

Take done business with Barnes and Noble for many years. No more. Ordered a gear up of books for my daughters birthday. To insure it would arrive on time, purchased the expedited shipping. For two days straight, got email stating packaged shipped. The tracking shows "label created merely" on both Barnes and Noble website and UPS. The Barnes and Noble rep says to wait i more than day and then call back. Yous can't actually talk to anyone at UPS. Realistically, if UPS does not have the package, information technology won't exist here tomorrow. If you want to compete, customer service can make or break yous.

Updated on 01/06/2022: I accept had an ongoing issue trying to publish my hardcover volume. It has been showing as processing for a number weeks. To make matters worse the just time Barnes and Noble pays attention to my issue is when I write a negative review. Then they very disingenuously offer to assistance and when I explain the issue in that location is no follow up from them whatsoever. Stay away from them for self publishing. I assume because it was Barnes and Noble they would exist expert. They are awful. Please stay away.
Original review: Barnes and Noble is terrible for self publishing. My volume has been stuck on processing for two weeks now and customer service has ignored by request to investigate the issue. I would definitely recommend Amazon for self publishing. They were virtually helpful.

I wanted to send a book as a gift. I normally use Amazon, simply I literally felt sorry for Barnes & Noble and wanted to give them some business. Barnes & Noble sent the wrong book. When I told them of the error, they refused to refund me. When I filed a dispute with my credit card they fought it tooth and nail. Congratulations Barnes & Noble, you cheated me out of my difficult earned money. Hope it was worth it, because you will never get some other cent from me. Sincerely, A former lifelong customer.

I ordered a Barnes and Noble gift card with a specific design on December 13th. I was informed that the expected delivery date was on or earlier December 21st and standard delivery would exist 3-5 business organisation days. The customer service rep confirmed that the gift card had not been delivered and since the company delayed the shipping of a basic gift carte du jour, the delivery date was delayed as well. I was offered a replacement gift card that would arrive 8-10 days subsequently (well after the holidays) or to nullify the souvenir card gild and get issued a refund.
I am now left without the gift carte and zilch to show for the gift that I was depending on for the holidays. B and N offered no other consolation or anything for the inconvenience. I learned my lesson for trusting Barnes and Noble. At least Amazon would have offered customer loyalty and would have shipped correct away. Save yourselves the frustration.

I ordered a volume online. I received the wrong book, not fifty-fifty shut to what I ordered. I called the B & N shipping. Was told they will send the correct order with a shipping label and take it to UPS to send the wrong book dorsum. Once I received the correct volume, it came with a label to ship the mistake back. Went to UPS, and they said it was not a label for them, it was for USPS... Took it to local mail service function and was informed it was non a prepaid label and it would price $ten.fifteen. I paid it so I would not be charged for the book I did not order.
Called B & N to explain the state of affairs. Was told by the lady that they volition non reimburse me and to take it up with the USPS (it is not USPS's mistake) so that is totally a lack of responsibility on B & Northward. DO NOT ORDER Anything FROM THIS Visitor! Too, I believe in EOE, only the lady inappreciably spoke English. Why would you put a foreign linguistic communication speaking person in a position that requires communication in an English dominant environment? I never could sympathize that...

We believe you may take used the generic return label that is sent in all shipments for customers who do non wish to go on their orders. When a problem is reported to the states and a return is necessary, Barnes & Noble will provide a prepaid merchandise return label, every bit we do not expect customers to pay for shipping when in that location is an error with the order.
